Responsibilities

  • Define and lead QA approaches, automation strategies, quality objectives, standards, quality gates, and reporting for assigned products and releases.
  • Lead requirements and test analysis, test planning, test-case design, test-data preparation, traceability, and execution across manual, automated, functional, non-functional, system, integration, regression, smoke, exploratory, and acceptance testing.
  • Build, scale, review, and maintain automation frameworks, automated tests, and reusable test utilities.
  • Embed automated tests, quality gates, and reporting into CI/CD pipelines in partnership with engineering and DevOps teams.
  • Evaluate and implement AI-assisted testing tools for test generation, self-healing automation, synthetic test data, coding, and defect analysis, with appropriate review and validation.
  • Coordinate test activities, environments, data, dependencies, blockers, defect triage, root-cause analysis, and fix verification.
  • Provide technical leadership, coaching, peer reviews, and day-to-day guidance to QA engineers without direct line-management responsibility.
  • Report on test coverage, execution progress, defects, risks, dependencies, and release recommendations, while maintaining auditable testing documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • At least 7 years of software quality assurance experience, including substantial hands-on manual and automated testing.
  • Proven experience defining and implementing test automation strategies, building automation frameworks, and scaling reliable automated coverage.
  • Hands-on experience with AI-assisted testing and coding tools for test creation, maintenance, test data, and defect triage.
  • Experience leading QA activities for complex products or multiple concurrent deliveries, including test strategy, release readiness, and stakeholder reporting.
  • Experience coaching QA engineers, conducting peer reviews, and improving engineering and quality standards without direct line-management responsibility.
  • Advanced proficiency with test-management and defect-tracking tools such as Xray, TestRail, and Jira.
  • Strong experience with Playwright, Cypress or Selenium, and API testing tools such as Postman, Swagger or SoapUI.
  • Proficiency in TypeScript, Python, or C# for test automation, with the ability to review automated-test code.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, test-environment management, quality gates, SQL, database testing, and web, mobile, and API testing.
  • Working experience in Agile/Scrum teams and with DevOps practices, plus strong analytical, communication, stakeholder-influencing, and decision-making skills.
  • ISTQB Advanced, Test Automation Engineer, Test Manager, or comparable QA certification is desirable.
  • Experience in financial services or wealth management, Tosca, Salesforce, Dynamics, performance testing, security testing, accessibility testing, or resilience testing is beneficial.
