Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Maintain an organization-wide view of Shopping’s current, planned, and dependent technical and business work.
- Proactively secure enterprise platform support, tools, access, and approvals before they become blockers.
- Present Shopping’s progress and goals to senior leadership and secure decisions, investment, and buy-in.
- Navigate security, risk, compliance, procurement, and platform governance on Shopping’s behalf.
- Coordinate cross-team dependencies during major cross-cutting initiatives.
- Represent and defend Shopping’s architecture and technical decisions to enterprise platform, security, and risk partners.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science or a related quantitative field is required.
- At least 7 years of experience in software engineering and solution architecture, enterprise architecture and design patterns, cloud computing, and data architecture are required.
- A master’s degree in computer science or software engineering is preferred.
- Preferred experience includes 10+ years with web technologies, distributed HPC and ML systems, cloud computing, data architecture, and professional coding in languages such as Go, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Rust, C#, and Scala.
- Preferred qualifications include 8+ years with databases and database management systems, 10+ years across the full system development lifecycle, and 10+ years with networking protocols and third-party distributed-system integration.
- Preferred leadership experience includes mentoring senior engineers for 5+ years and leading cross-domain architectural reviews and coding and design standards for 2+ years.
- Expertise in strategically applying agentic AI coding tools to systemic development challenges is preferred.
