Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain internal developer platforms with reusable services, templates, pipelines, and automation.
- Manage cloud-native platform components on Azure, AKS, Kubernetes, Docker, and container registries.
- Create standardized Azure DevOps CI/CD pipeline templates for build, testing, security scanning, deployment, and release automation.
- Implement infrastructure as code and GitOps practices using tools such as Terraform, Helm, Ansible, Argo CD, or Flux.
- Build developer self-service capabilities including environment provisioning, deployment templates, monitoring dashboards, and operational runbooks.
- Improve platform reliability through observability, logging, metrics, alerting, SLOs, incident analysis, and continuous operational improvements.
- Integrate secrets management, container security, dependency scanning, image scanning, and policy enforcement into platform delivery workflows.
- Implement authentication, authorization, API gateway, ingress, service mesh, and secure connectivity patterns.
- Troubleshoot deployment, performance, networking, availability, and operational issues with application teams.
- Define platform standards, reusable architecture patterns, documentation, and best practices, and evaluate automation and AI-assisted development improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, platform engineering, infrastructure automation, or cloud-native application delivery.
- Hands-on experience with Azure, AKS, Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, container registries, Azure DevOps pipelines, Terraform, Ansible, ARM/Bicep, or equivalent tools.
- Understanding of platform engineering concepts including developer portals, golden paths, self-service automation, reusable templates, and paved-road standards.
- Experience with GitOps, monitoring and observability, networking, ingress, DNS, certificates, load balancing, API gateways, identity, access control, and secure service-to-service communication.
- Experience with secrets management, OAuth, JWT, OpenID Connect, Keycloak, Azure Key Vault, DevSecOps, secure SDLC, threat modeling, vulnerability management, dependency scanning, image scanning, and compliance readiness.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, automation, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently, guide engineering teams, and drive adoption of platform standards and best practices.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English.
- Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, background jobs, .NET Core, Angular, full-stack development concepts, or GitHub Copilot is advantageous.
