Base Salary
$160k - $180k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the technical direction of the mobile app, including architecture and maintainability.
- Build critical features using React Native and native iOS and Android where appropriate.
- Define and uphold standards for mobile code quality through thoughtful reviews.
- Optimize the application's performance in environments with degraded connectivity.
- Establish strong automated testing practices to protect product quality.
- Design and shape APIs and interfaces in partnership with backend engineers.
- Drive mobile app observability to understand performance and feature adoption.
- Debug user-reported issues to deliver timely solutions.
- Provide guidance to junior developers and promote best practices.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in iOS and Android app development with proficiency in the iOS SDK and Xcode.
- 3+ years of experience building and maintaining production-level applications using React Native.
- Proven ability to optimize mobile application performance, including memory management and multi-threading.
- Experience using AI coding tools to automate tasks and integrate complex processes.
- Experience leveraging app analytics and observability tools for data-informed improvements.
- Expert at debugging complex iOS issues with a high level of ownership.
- A collaborative attitude and desire to help others succeed in engineering challenges.
