Base Salary
$170k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and ship member-facing reconciliation and bookkeeping features and internal tooling for accounting operators
- Extend partner APIs and improve integration edge-case handling and data reliability
- Improve the transaction pipeline from bank feeds through the accounting platform into the data layer
- Implement reliability, observability, and source-to-destination drift detection
- Own well-scoped features end-to-end, including approach definition, development, deployment, instrumentation, and iteration
- Partner with Product, Design, Operations, and in-house accounting teams to translate workflows into software
- Use AI-powered development tools, copilots, code agents, and agent workflows to accelerate development and reduce manual overhead
Requirements
- 3–4 years of experience building and shipping production software in a product-focused environment
- Solid full-stack engineering skills using Python, Django, React, or similar modern frameworks
- Experience integrating third-party APIs and handling messy real-world data
- Hands-on daily use of AI developer tools such as copilots and code agents
- Ability to drive well-scoped problems through deployment, instrumentation, and iteration with light guidance
- Good product and UX instincts, including sensible scope tradeoffs and effective clarification questions
- Clear written and verbal communication with technical and non-technical partners
- Familiarity with SQL and data warehouses; BigQuery is a plus
- Interest in accounting, fintech, or payroll, or demonstrated ability to quickly learn a new domain
