Responsibilities
- Design and build signal-collection and feature pipelines for fraud and abuse detection.
- Design compute, storage, and serving architecture for large account graphs.
- Build and operate model deployment, versioning, monitoring, rollback, shadow evaluation, and staged-rollout capabilities.
- Integrate risk decisions with serving and enforcement systems, including audit, review, and reinstatement workflows.
- Build investigation tools for analysts to examine account clusters, review evidence, and document decisions.
- Integrate Microsoft identity, tenant, telemetry, and billing signals while meeting data-contract, access, privacy, and retention requirements.
- Own performance, reliability, observability, security, and operational health for production systems.
- Collaborate with product and partner engineering teams on production integration.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 4+ years of technical engineering experience with coding, or equivalent experience.
- Alternatively, a master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline and 2+ years of technical engineering experience with coding, or equivalent experience.
- Experience building and operating distributed backend services or large-scale data pipelines in production is preferred.
- Experience with graph processing at scale or storage patterns for entity resolution over large account populations is preferred.
- Background in trust and safety, anti-fraud, or platform abuse systems, including enforcement and appeals operations, is preferred.
- Familiarity with Azure services, identity and tenant concepts, or API gateway and rate-limiting infrastructure is preferred.
- Experience integrating internal platforms and data estates, including schemas, data contracts, access controls, retention requirements, and upstream service changes, is preferred.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
