Responsibilities
- Develop and implement insurance platforms using Guidewire and Java.
- Work as a technical lead across technical streams of Guidewire implementation projects.
- Communicate and coordinate with onsite coordinators.
- Plan and monitor project deliverables from the team.
- Mentor project team members in executing projects.
- Travel to customer locations as needed.
- Participate in organization-wide people initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, IT, science, or another technical qualification.
- At least 4 years of experience in a corporate IT environment in a similar position.
- Experience with Java and Guidewire development.
- Understanding of JVM technologies or the surrounding ecosystem, including Java 8, J2EE, XML, SOAP, REST, SQL, PL/SQL, Spring, Hibernate, application servers, and enterprise messaging systems.
- Awareness of good coding practices, clean code, and design patterns.
- Strong communication and business communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as a Guidewire Technical Lead and guide other team members.
- Hands-on experience with Angular 5 is preferred.
- Working experience with Kotlin is preferred.
- German or French language skills are an asset.
