Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain high-throughput Java and Spring Boot microservices serving millions of devices.
- Develop RESTful APIs using JSON/XML with JWT and OAuth 2.0 security.
- Design MongoDB schemas and queries for scale, including indexing and aggregation pipelines.
- Build and consume event-driven architectures using Kafka, AWS SQS/SNS, and Kinesis.
- Containerize services with Docker and deploy them on AWS EKS via CI/CD pipelines.
- Contribute to system design for high availability, disaster recovery, scalability, and performance.
- Write clean, testable, documented code with strong unit and integration test coverage.
- Own features end to end from design and implementation through deployment and production monitoring.
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and drive reliability improvements.
- Mentor engineers and provide hands-on technical leadership for architecture, standards, and processes.
- Partner with engineering, product management, program management, and professional services teams on technology upgrades, migrations, and roadmaps.
- Use AI-powered development tools for code generation, code reviews, test creation, planning, and debugging.
Requirements
- B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Computer Science or equivalent from a top-150 NIRF engineering college.
- At least 8 years of hands-on backend development experience.
- Strong proficiency in Java and the Spring ecosystem, including Spring Boot, Spring Data, and Spring Security.
- Experience with NoSQL databases, preferably MongoDB, including schema design, indexing, and aggregation pipelines.
- Practical experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, SQS, SNS, Lambda, EKS, and CloudWatch.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, container orchestration, Git, Bitbucket or GitHub, and CI/CD tooling.
- Understanding of RESTful API design, versioning, OAuth 2.0, JWT, WebSockets, persistent connection protocols, and networking fundamentals.
- Experience with event streaming platforms including Kafka and AWS Kinesis.
- Experience with AWS ALB/NLB, target groups, health checks, sticky sessions, serverless architectures, and AWS Lambda.
- Exposure to Elasticsearch or OpenSearch and familiarity with SQL databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
- Experience with React, JavaScript, or TypeScript is a plus for full-stack capability.
- Knowledge of Redis or ElastiCache and observability tools or practices including structured logging, distributed tracing, metrics, Datadog, ELK, or Prometheus.
- Familiarity with Bash shell scripting for automation, debugging, and operational tasks.
- Exposure to OCPP or the EV/IoT domain.
- Experience using GitHub Copilot, Windsurf/Cursor, ChatGPT, or Claude for development, code review, and technical planning.
- Experience in renewable energy, clean technology, or IoT companies is relevant.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, analytical, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
