Responsibilities

  • Deliver highly available 911 infrastructure as part of a real-time communications operations team.
  • Configure and troubleshoot Carbyne’s emergency communications platform.
  • Provide clients with customized unified communications solutions.
  • Install, maintain, integrate, and contribute to PBX and unified communications projects.
  • Create and maintain technical specifications and solution documentation.
  • Own onboarding of new customers according to customer requirements, solution specifications, and Carbyne best practices.
  • Provide technical support and training to the Operations team on 911 emergency communications systems.
  • Develop expertise in unified communications architecture, networking, and cloud computing.
  • Coordinate with Operations, R&D, Sales, the CTO Office, and Product Managers on unified communications activities.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience installing and deploying open-source unified communications solutions such as Kamailio, FreeSWITCH, or Asterisk.
  • Extensive knowledge of VoIP deployments and SIP, SDP, RTP, and WebRTC troubleshooting.
  • Understanding of audio and video codecs, packetization, encryption, and transport.
  • At least 3 years of experience deploying open-source VoIP solutions in solutions or integration environments.
  • At least 3 years of networking experience, including knowledge of the OSI model and network layers 1–7.
  • Good understanding of Linux environments, including Bash scripting.
  • Hands-on experience deploying solutions on private and public network or security clouds, including AWS.
  • Industry certifications such as CCIE, CCNP, or CCNA Voice are nice to have.
  • Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS infrastructure is preferred.
