Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain secure and scalable backend services.
- Optimize systems for low latency, high throughput, and reliability.
- Integrate machine learning components into production systems across teams.
- Lead technical initiatives covering design, planning, implementation, and maintenance over a 3–9 month horizon.
- Drive operational-excellence improvements.
- Contribute to architecture evolution and engineering culture.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of experience as a software engineer.
- Experience with TypeScript and Node.js, ideally NestJS, or comparable frameworks in other languages with willingness to learn TypeScript.
- Experience developing and maintaining highly scalable and reliable microservices.
- Deep understanding of distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and APIs.
- Experience with cloud-native infrastructure such as Kubernetes, GCP, or AWS.
- Experience leading technical projects over a 3–9 month horizon.
- Strong spoken and written English communication skills.
- Ownership, strong action orientation, pragmatic coding practices, curiosity, and openness to AI-assisted coding tools.
- Ability to work effectively in ambiguous, high-stakes environments with urgency.
