Responsibilities
- Build and ship end-to-end AI product experiences from discovery and prototyping through launch, measurement, and iteration.
- Develop customer-facing interfaces, backend APIs, data models, agent tools, and external integrations.
- Design agent workflows combining models, context, memory, business rules, deterministic services, and human escalation.
- Collaborate directly with restaurant and internal users to identify failures and convert feedback into reusable capabilities.
- Integrate with POS, reservation, messaging, telephony, and other external systems.
- Build evaluations, instrumentation, guardrails, and feedback loops for measuring and improving probabilistic behavior.
- Improve latency, reliability, accuracy, usability, and cost across the full product experience.
- Own architecture, tests, security, correctness, and technical decisions while contributing to planning, reviews, documentation, and refactoring.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of industrial experience in a relevant technical domain.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals and experience shipping production web or platform products.
- Depth in either Python/backend engineering or TypeScript/React frontend engineering, with the ability and desire to work across the full stack.
- Experience building with LLMs, speech models, computer vision, or agent systems beyond toy prototypes.
- Strong product judgment and the ability to prioritize valuable user problems over impressive demos.
- Experience designing APIs, data models, asynchronous workflows, and integrations with external systems.
- A high quality bar for testing, observability, security, reliability, and user experience.
- Comfort working directly with users in a fast-changing startup environment and exercising independent technical judgment.
