Responsibilities
- Design, implement, deploy, and operate highly available, fault-tolerant, auto-scaling, and auto-healing systems.
- Monitor availability, performance, capacity, and resource usage while identifying and resolving bottlenecks.
- Respond to outages and disruptions, conduct analysis, and implement measures to prevent recurrence.
- Develop tools and scripts to automate operational processes and improve system resilience.
- Implement disaster recovery, zero-downtime solutions, and continuous delivery for large-scale distributed cloud services.
- Partner with engineering, security, and product teams to embed reliability practices into the DevSecOps lifecycle.
- Contribute to technology strategy, risk management, controls, stakeholder alignment, and technical direction.
Requirements
- Strong experience designing and operating highly available, fault-tolerant, auto-scaling, and auto-healing systems.
- Strong expertise in AWS; Azure and GCP experience is a plus.
- Experience with Kubernetes, including essential ECS experience; Fargate and GCE experience is a plus.
- Experience with serverless architectures, disaster recovery, zero-downtime solutions, and continuous delivery across distributed cloud-based microservices and API services.
- Hands-on coding experience in Python, Bash, JSON, and YAML.
- Ability to drive reliability best practices and partner effectively with engineering, security, and product teams.
- Highly desirable: hands-on configuration, deployment, and operation of ForgeRock or Ping IAM solutions, including PingGateway, PingAM, PingIDM, and PingDS.
- Knowledge of embedded security gates, HTTP header signing, access-token and data-at-rest encryption, PKI-based self-sovereign identity, or open-source IAM solutions is highly desirable.
- Assessment may cover risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, digital and technology, and job-specific technical skills.
