Responsibilities
- Build the fleet control plane for inventory, identity, activation, telemetry, and operator tooling across remote GPU nodes.
- Own out-of-band server provisioning and recovery using Redfish/iDRAC automation, network boot, immutable OS images, and rescue paths.
- Develop a secure, durable node agent that establishes cloud trust, reports state, receives work, and survives reboots and unreliable networks.
- Design overlay networking and secure connectivity across consumer internet links.
- Integrate compute dispatch with energy planning systems so workloads respond to power availability and grid needs.
- Collaborate with hardware and deployment teams on enclosures, thermals, and outdoor server operation.
Requirements
- Bring 8+ years of experience building systems software close to hardware, including platform management, firmware, provisioning, fleet orchestration, or backend services for physical machines.
- Have deep experience with BMC/iDRAC, Redfish or IPMI, PXE/virtual-media boot, hardware inventory, and remote recovery.
- Demonstrate strong ability in C, C++, Rust, or Go and comfort working across boot logs and distributed services.
- Have operated remote fleets such as servers, network gear, vehicles, telecommunications equipment, or energy hardware.
- Use sound judgment about building versus adopting industry standards and existing supply chains.
- Demonstrate strong ownership and ability to establish technical patterns on a small founding team.
- Datacenter or cloud platform experience, hypervisors, bare-metal cloud provisioning, GPU serving, vLLM, inference routing, KV-cache-aware scheduling, compiler/toolchain work, OS-image builds, or power-systems exposure are preferred.
