Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, administer, monitor, and maintain AI and analytics applications through CI/CD pipelines in restricted on-premise networks.
- Ensure availability, performance, and monitoring of generative AI applications on OpenShift and Kubernetes environments.
- Automate application delivery workflows and provide tools for development teams and the AI & Data Analytics Product Owner.
- Align infrastructure and operational workflows with BSI IT-Grundschutz standards and national security requirements in coordination with the Security Office.
- Create technical documentation, architecture diagrams, runbooks, and standard operating procedures for audit readiness.
- Participate in incident response and improve disaster recovery strategies for air-gapped environments.
- Conduct technical evaluations and proof-of-concept testing for container orchestration and GPU serverless runtimes.
- Monitor and optimize on-premise resource usage, especially for high-demand GPU hardware.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, including relevant specializations such as Distributed Systems, MLOps, or DevSecOps.
- At least three years of experience in DevOps and continuous delivery practices.
- Strong experience with containerization and orchestration using Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker, or Podman.
- Hands-on knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI and monitoring stacks such as Prometheus or Grafana.
- Familiarity with the AI/ML lifecycle, local AI model serving, GPU resource management, vLLM, and scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Go.
- Practical understanding of BSI IT-Grundschutz standards, DevSecOps principles, and security controls for air-gapped environments.
- Strong collaboration, problem-solving, and communication skills for working with multidisciplinary teams and auditors.
