Base Salary
$200k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and scale backend services and APIs for AI-driven features, primarily using Java and Python.
- Define, deploy, and manage AI cloud infrastructure with Terraform on AWS and scale container-based solutions.
- Build evaluation pipelines and frameworks to assess AI system quality and improve model performance.
- Optimize tradeoffs among model quality, response time, infrastructure cost, and performance when using managed AI services.
- Integrate AI features into Posh’s core application, occasionally working with TypeScript and Node.js.
- Build reliable, observable, and scalable backend systems and data flows for multi-step autonomous AI workflows.
- Collaborate with frontend engineers and product managers to ship experimental features to Posh’s user base.
Requirements
- 3 to 6+ years of backend or full-stack engineering experience shipping high-quality, scalable systems.
- Deep expertise in Python and its ecosystem for web services and data processing.
- Strong experience with Terraform, a major cloud platform such as GCP, AWS, or Azure, and deploying containerized applications.
- Ability to work in a 0-to-1 environment and help define patterns for AI-native product development.
- Experience with managed AI services such as Vertex AI or AWS Bedrock, production LLMs, or evaluation frameworks such as RAGAs, LangSmith, or DeepEval is a bonus.
- Familiarity with agentic frameworks such as LangGraph, CrewAI, or Strands, or with multi-agent system design is a bonus.
- Background in MLOps, data engineering, or consumer, marketplace, or event-driven platforms is a bonus.
