Responsibilities
- Drive technical and consumption strategy for complex customer engagements and influence platform adoption and revenue growth.
- Own senior-level technical relationships and advise enterprise customers on data and AI strategy.
- Lead architecture engagements involving multi-workload platforms, enterprise migrations, real-time systems, and AI/ML at scale.
- Serve as a Databricks Platform expert, mentor junior solutions architects, and create horizontal impact across the team and region.
- Develop competitive strategies, lead competitive displacements and enterprise evaluations, and orchestrate DSAs, SSAs, partners, and product teams.
- Coach junior SAs on technical depth, customer engagement, and use-case prioritization.
- Contribute customer-facing content, workshops, community engagement, and field-engineering thought leadership.
- Conduct technical sales discussions with Greater China customers in Mandarin and articulate technical solutions and value propositions.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in solutions architecture, principal engineering, technical pre-sales leadership, or a senior customer-facing technical role.
- Expert coding proficiency in Python and SQL, ideally with Spark/PySpark; candidates complete a live coding assessment and platform build.
- Deep expertise in enterprise data architecture, distributed systems at scale, streaming and real-time systems, lakehouse design patterns, data governance, and cloud-native platforms.
- Expert-level Databricks Platform knowledge or equivalent depth in competing platforms with demonstrated ability to learn quickly.
- Recognized technical specialization in areas such as real-time architectures, ML/AI platforms, data governance, large-scale migrations, or industry-specific solutions.
- Proven record of driving consumption growth and platform adoption in large accounts and influencing Directors, VPs, and C-level stakeholders.
- Experience leading competitive displacements and complex enterprise evaluations, with strong strategic thinking connecting architecture to business outcomes and revenue.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a quantitative discipline, or equivalent experience; advanced degrees are valued.
- Business proficiency in Mandarin and experience in the Greater China Region are required.
- Databricks certifications, experience at Databricks, Snowflake, AWS, Google, Microsoft, or a top-tier data/AI company, published thought leadership, and industry vertical expertise are preferred.
