Base Salary

$68k - $195k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Consult with internal business groups to provide high-level application software development services and technical support.
  • Design, implement, test, maintain, and document Java/Spring Boot microservices, APIs, and software components.
  • Develop frontend and backend functionality using Java, Node.js, CSS, JSON, Angular, and JavaScript.
  • Integrate AI features such as inference endpoints, prompt orchestration, RAG flows, and embeddings with guardrails, validation, and auditability.
  • Design efficient data access, tune connection pools, and maintain transactional integrity and error handling.
  • Collaborate with technical leads and product partners on requirements, acceptance criteria, and sprint goals.
  • Support CI/CD pipeline tasks, automated quality gates, and release safety.
  • Contribute to AI evaluation harnesses, quality metrics, latency budgets, failure-mode analysis, telemetry, and traceability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5–9 years of hands-on experience building software with Java, Spring, and Spring Boot.
  • Demonstrated experience with AI-assisted coding tools and responsible integration of AI features.
  • Working knowledge of RDBMS systems, including Oracle or equivalent, and secure, performant data access.
  • Experience contributing to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and observability.
  • Experience with prompt engineering, verification of generated code, AI guardrails, PII safety, telemetry, deterministic model-call wrappers, and AI feature evaluation.
  • Thorough knowledge of frontend and backend development with Java, Node.js, CSS, JSON, Angular, and JavaScript.
  • Proficiency with application frameworks, containerization, and multi-platform development tools and toolkits.
  • Prior lead experience selecting and implementing vendor-specific methodologies and prior consulting experience with structured methodologies.
  • Experience in the securities or financial services industry is preferred.
