Responsibilities
- Build and operate the Google Cloud/GKE marketplace platform for reliability, security, and scalability.
- Manage infrastructure as code with Terraform and GitOps workflows using Flux.
- Improve GitHub Actions deployment pipelines and automate operational processes.
- Implement observability with Prometheus and Grafana, including monitoring, alerting, and system debuggability.
- Reduce developer friction by enabling self-service and establishing pragmatic platform standards.
- Debug production incidents and implement long-term fixes.
- Build automation, CLI tools, or other small tools with TypeScript/Node.js when appropriate.
- Contribute to backend and platform development involving architectures such as NestJS, GraphQL, Pub/Sub, MongoDB, and Redis.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience operating Kubernetes in cloud environments and understanding real-world failure modes.
- Experience with GCP, including IAM, networking, and cluster operations.
- Experience managing infrastructure changes with Terraform.
- Experience with CI/CD systems, ideally GitHub Actions, and GitOps workflows.
- Strong knowledge of monitoring, alerting, observability, and system debuggability.
- Ability to contribute to development using TypeScript/Node.js, pipelines, or CLI tools.
- Understanding of modern backend architectures and related technologies.
- Independent working style, strong ownership, clear communication, and trade-off-oriented decision-making.
