Base Salary
$307k - $427k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the strategy, technical vision, and roadmaps for the data quality team.
- Drive architecture for self-correcting and self-healing ML training data and Search Context systems.
- Collaborate with DeepMind and Search researchers, data analysts, and engineers to identify Value of Data signals.
- Partner with AI Foundry infrastructure owners to evolve crawl, processing, and signal-enrichment systems.
- Provide technical guidance on large-scale signal development and quality metric design.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 15 years of experience in software engineering and building or working with technology systems.
- 7 years of experience in a technical leadership role, with or without direct reports.
- 5 years of experience developing and deploying machine learning models on datasets.
- 3 years of infrastructure or data systems experience building or managing distributed storage, data warehousing, or data processing infrastructure products.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
- Experience with Search or generative AI training-data journeys or comparable product-data journeys is preferred.
- Experience defining and tracking complex metrics across large-scale, dynamic ecosystems is preferred.
- Experience collaborating with high-level research teams and translating abstract data needs into scalable engineering solutions is preferred.
- A track record of establishing data flywheels or self-healing data systems is preferred.
