Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure cloud infrastructure and platform solutions using Infrastructure as Code.
- Define and evolve standards, guidelines, and architecture patterns for cloud deployments.
- Establish monitoring, alerting, dashboards, and error budgets to support system reliability and operational health.
- Evaluate technologies, procurement options, and architectural proposals against SRE goals.
- Review resource usage and implement cost optimization and FinOps initiatives across teams.
- Design and implement CI/CD pipelines, automation workflows, containerization, orchestration, and deployment strategies.
- Identify process and tooling gaps and deliver improvements to platform efficiency.
- Mentor team members and collaborate with architects, product teams, and stakeholders.
- Make independent technical decisions while balancing technical debt and delivery quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- At least 6 years of experience in cloud infrastructure, automation, or related technical fields.
- Hands-on expertise with cloud platforms, preferably Azure, and Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Terragrunt, Helm, and Ansible.
- Experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines, automation workflows, and deployment strategies for complex systems.
- Strong understanding of networking, RBAC, security best practices, and cloud architecture patterns.
- Experience with observability tools such as ELK and Azure Monitor or equivalent tools.
- Experience designing and implementing Docker containerization and Kubernetes or similar orchestration for complex deployments.
- Advanced proficiency in scripting or programming languages such as PowerShell and .NET or similar.
- Ability to make independent technical decisions and balance technical debt with high-quality solution delivery.
- Fluency in English; French is a plus, with bilingual French and English communication expected at MEDFAR.
- Candidates must reside in the province of Quebec.
