Base Salary
$115k - $235k/yr
Responsibilities
- Operate and support production cloud services powering customer migration and data replication workloads.
- Monitor service health, investigate incidents, lead troubleshooting, and drive root-cause and corrective actions.
- Serve as the escalation point for complex or critical issues and improve service documentation and operational readiness.
- Partner with software development teams to improve service architecture, reliability, scalability, and resilience.
- Design automation and observability solutions covering monitoring, alerting, logging, dashboards, and operational metrics.
- Contribute to capacity planning, performance analysis, disaster recovery, Infrastructure as Code, and CI/CD initiatives.
- Drive continuous service improvement across Oracle Cloud commercial and sovereign cloud environments.
Requirements
- US citizenship and the ability to maintain an active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility are required.
- At least 7 years of production engineering experience, preferably with distributed services or cloud platforms.
- Strong automation experience and proficiency with a scripting language such as Bash or Python.
- Solid understanding of software engineering, computer science, Linux systems engineering, networking, security, and storage.
- Experience with Docker, Terraform and/or Ansible, and fully automated CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Hudson, or TeamCity.
- Ability to understand and formulate meaningful KPIs and business metrics.
- Experience building, managing, or operating cloud services on AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI is preferred.
