Base Salary

$115k - $235k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Own software design and development for major components of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
  • Design, develop, and debug software applications and operating systems.
  • Build large-scale distributed services and virtualized infrastructure for OCI Compute.
  • Define and evolve engineering practices, procedures, technical proposals, design specifications, architecture diagrams, and presentations.
  • Design architectures supporting high availability, scalability, flexibility, and future business demands.
  • Operate and troubleshoot mission-critical tier-one live services and tune system performance.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of software development experience with distributed systems in large-scale environments.
  • Proficiency in Java, C, or C++ and experience with scripting languages such as Python or Perl.
  • Experience building or operating large-scale, highly distributed services infrastructure in a mission-critical operational environment.
  • Experience designing architectures with deep technical depth or broad cross-product scope.
  • Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, distributed systems fundamentals, and cloud-native development is preferred.
  • Familiarity with operating-system internals, TCP/IP, HTTP, and standard network architectures is preferred.
  • Strong troubleshooting, performance-tuning, communication, technical writing, and problem-solving skills are required.
  • Experience building multi-tenant, virtualized infrastructure is preferred.

  • The role is a U.S.-based salaried position with an annual hiring range of $114,600 to $234,600, plus potential bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
