[MSO] Senior Infrastructure Automation Engineer (Ansible)

Responsibilities
- Write and maintain Ansible playbooks, roles, modules, and collections.
- Establish shared automation standards, repository structures, code review processes, and documentation.
- Automate patch management across Linux and Windows systems.
- Develop deployment, configuration, systems, and process automation.
- Integrate automation into infrastructure transformation projects and new OpenStack platform delivery.
- Support, configure, and manage the automation platform.
- Configure and maintain CI/CD for automation code.
- Define and maintain the inventory and source of truth used by automation.
- Introduce testing practices for automation code before production release.
- Identify automation opportunities with estate-maintenance engineers and prioritize implementation.
- Review and maintain automation-related code across the team.
- Share automation knowledge and maintain technical documentation.
Requirements
- Advanced experience using, configuring, and maintaining automation platforms, preferably AAP/AWX.
- Strong knowledge of Ansible coding and repository best practices, including playbooks, roles, modules, and collections.
- Experience using Ansible to manage systems and processes at scale.
- Advanced understanding of infrastructure as code principles.
- Practical patch-management experience across Linux and Windows systems.
- Experience working across various Linux distributions.
- Programming skills, preferably Python.
- Solid Git and version-control practice applied to automation code.
- Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation.
- English proficiency at C1 level for direct communication with client engineers and stakeholders.
- OpenStack experience is a strong advantage.
- Experience consolidating scattered automation into a consistent practice and establishing technical standards is advantageous.
- Experience with virtualization, Puppet-to-Ansible migration, Ansible testing frameworks such as Molecule, observability tools such as Prometheus and Grafana, IPAM, IAM, networking, system firewalls, and storage is advantageous.
- Red Hat or Ansible certifications are advantageous.
