Responsibilities
- Build and develop cloud-managed access control systems for managing doors, schedules, and user credentials.
- Drive under-specified product ideas from concept through completion.
- Design and maintain scalable distributed systems involving databases, queues, and blob storage.
- Take technical ownership of major systems and solve complex problems with limited predefined answers.
- Collaborate with firmware, backend, and frontend engineers.
- Teach and learn new technologies within a fast-growing startup environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or graduate degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related science field.
- At least five years of industry software engineering experience.
- Proficiency in at least one common server programming language, including Python or Go.
- Experience with scalable distributed system design, including databases, queues, and blob storage.
- Experience working in an agile software development environment.
- Willingness and ability to work onsite five days per week.
