Responsibilities
- Design and evolve secure, scalable Azure platform architectures for modern application workloads.
- Define and improve CI/CD strategies, infrastructure standards, reusable platform patterns, and infrastructure-as-code modules.
- Lead technical discovery with stakeholders and provide guidance on cloud networking, identity, security, observability, resiliency, and modernization.
- Evaluate Azure and DevOps environments and recommend improvements to reliability, availability, performance, cost efficiency, and risk reduction.
- Support containerized and orchestrated workloads and establish DevSecOps practices such as secure access, policy enforcement, and compliance automation.
- Mentor engineers, promote shared engineering standards, document architectural decisions, and communicate trade-offs to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Explore and prototype AI-enabled workflows, tooling, and platform capabilities when they provide meaningful value.
Requirements
- Strong experience designing, implementing, and operating Azure cloud environments.
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Pulumi.
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
- Strong understanding of cloud networking, identity, and security principles.
- Experience improving the reliability, availability, and observability of production systems.
- Ability to influence technical direction and mentor others without direct authority.
- Comfort working across teams, handling evolving requirements, and communicating complex technical topics clearly.
- Preferred: experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or AKS; familiarity with DevSecOps, SRE, or FinOps; and experience with Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog, or New Relic.
- Preferred: exposure to AI-assisted development, Copilot tooling, or OpenAI SDKs; client-facing or consulting experience; and strong documentation and diagramming skills.
