Base Salary
$108k - $195k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, test, debug, and maintain software individually and as part of a development team.
- Develop containerized applications using Java and related web technologies.
- Use AI-assisted development tools for coding, refactoring, debugging, and test creation.
- Develop solutions to complex issues affecting multiple technical areas or disciplines.
- Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies and related team activities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in laboratory and operational environments.
- Support systems engineering, test engineering, and system owner teams.
- Communicate with internal teams and client or external stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field with 8–12 years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with 6–10 years of experience; a doctorate may also qualify.
- Expert knowledge and substantial hands-on programming experience with Java.
- Extensive experience with web development and front-end tools and languages including React, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Extensive experience with JUnit and Mockito or similar unit testing tools.
- Significant experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, XML, XSD, Spring Framework, Spring Security, Spring Boot, and Linux.
- Experience with Git or Subversion, Eclipse or VS Code, and the Agile Scrum framework.
- Ability to obtain an SF-85 Public Trust Tier 2 suitability determination.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Preferred qualifications include AI-assisted coding experience with Claude Code or Codex, microservices and cloud-based environment experience, Python, Ansible, YAML, Linux shell scripting, MongoDB, and air traffic control or flight services knowledge.
