Base Salary
$262k - $354k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build direct, trusted relationships with selected QuickBooks Influencers who serve small and medium-sized businesses.
- Embed in Influencers' and SMB clients' invoicing workflows to identify friction and opportunities for AI.
- Design and hand-build customized AI-native invoicing agents, automations, and workflows.
- Iterate rapidly with Influencers and SMB clients based on real usage and feedback.
- Identify reusable patterns and partner with QuickBooks product and engineering leadership to turn them into scalable product capabilities.
- Represent Intuit technically through demos, explanations, and evangelism at Influencer events, accounting conferences, and small-business gatherings.
- Travel regularly to meet Influencers and their SMB customers in the field.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering experience, including meaningful forward-deployed, solutions engineering, or customer-embedded engineering experience.
- Hands-on experience with modern AI/LLM application patterns, including agents, RAG, and tool use.
- Ability to move from workflow observation to a working prototype in days and operate with substantial ambiguity.
- Superior communication skills with accountants, SMB owners, and other nontechnical users.
- Comfort working alongside accounting professionals and small-to-medium business owners on their schedules and in their workplaces.
- Willingness and enthusiasm to travel regularly.
- Track record of generalizing one-off solutions into scalable product capabilities.
- Preferred experience with a Chamber of Commerce, SBA, SCORE, trade association, or another organization serving small businesses.
- Preferred background in accounting, bookkeeping, or fintech software for SMBs.
- Preferred experience with QuickBooks, Intuit's developer platform, or invoicing and payments systems.
