Responsibilities

  • Develop a CAD tool with a Java kernel and MATLAB interface based on design-engineer requirements.
  • Implement algorithms such as geometric operations for innovative sensor designs.
  • Develop and review tool architecture for flexibility and maintainability.
  • Optimize the tool for efficiency and usability using user feedback and experience.
  • Ensure tool reliability through rigorous testing.
  • Automate design workflows to reduce the development time of new sensors.
  • Support users in applying the tool.
  • Apply modern AI capabilities to improve design workflows.
  • Help shape the technical roadmap and mentor colleagues.

Requirements

  • Three or more years of professional software development experience.
  • Experience with Java is required, preferably in desktop application development.
  • Experience and curiosity in using modern AI capabilities is required.
  • Education in software engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, mathematics, physics, or a similar discipline, with a track record in software development.
  • Experience with CAD or numerical algorithms is preferred.
  • Programming experience in MATLAB is preferred.
  • Knowledge of mechanical simulations using finite-element analysis is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of micro-electro-mechanical systems (MEMS) is advantageous.
  • Professional English communication skills are required.
