Responsibilities
- Develop the CAD tool’s Java kernel and MATLAB interface based on design-engineering requirements.
- Implement algorithms for geometrical operations and other sensor-design capabilities.
- Develop and review the tool architecture for flexibility and maintainability.
- Optimize efficiency and usability through user feedback and experience considerations.
- Ensure tool reliability through rigorous testing.
- Automate design workflows to reduce the development time of new sensors.
- Support users and contribute to the tool’s technical roadmap.
- Apply modern AI capabilities to design workflows and mentor colleagues.
Requirements
- Three or more years of professional software development experience.
- Education in software engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, mathematics, physics, or a similar discipline with a track record in software development.
- Required experience with Java, preferably desktop application development.
- Required experience and curiosity in using modern AI capabilities.
- CAD or numerical-algorithm experience is a strong plus.
- Programming experience in MATLAB is a strong plus.
- Knowledge of mechanical simulations using finite-element analysis is advantageous.
- Knowledge of micro-electro-mechanical systems (MEMS) is advantageous.
- Professional English language skills in oral and written communication.
- Strong problem-solving, collaboration, initiative, adaptability, and continuous-learning abilities.
