Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, design, integration, and deployment of full-stack autonomous robotics systems across perception, planning/control, hardware, and operational workflows.
- Define system requirements, interfaces, data contracts, SLAs/SLOs, metrics, and architecture decisions for robotics subsystems.
- Design and implement autonomy control orchestration and behavior trees using Groot and ROS2.
- Own robotics infrastructure including drivers, ROS/ROS2 middleware, simulation environments, system tooling, deployment pipelines, containerization, and edge compute optimization.
- Integrate robotics systems with Coupang WMS through APIs and bidirectional data models.
- Develop production-quality robotics software and simulation, testing, validation, monitoring, observability, and alerting workflows.
- Debug hardware-software integration issues, conduct root cause analysis, and improve system safety, robustness, latency, repeatability, and task success.
- Contribute to roadmaps, code reviews, documentation, engineering standards, and mentorship of junior and mid-level engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's, master's, or Ph.D. in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- At least 8 years of hands-on robotics systems engineering experience with increasing scope and ownership.
- Deep proficiency in Python for real-time and systems-level robotics development.
- Experience integrating cameras, sensors, PLCs, and other hardware peripherals into production robotics systems.
- Strong experience with the ROS/ROS2 ecosystem, including custom message types, services, nodes, and lifecycle management.
- Experience integrating and debugging complete robotic systems spanning software, sensors, actuators, middleware, simulation, and hardware.
- Real-world industrial robotics experience deploying, validating, or supporting robots in manufacturing, logistics, warehousing, inspection, service, or comparable environments.
- Experience with edge AI inference pipelines, GPUs, AI inference servers such as Triton or vLLM, GPU-accelerated planning, optimization, model predictive control, whole-body control, or real-time trajectory generation is preferred.
- Familiarity with Docker, containerized robotics deployments, CI/CD systems, DevOps practices, observability tools, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or distributed tracing is preferred.
- Understanding of computer vision and perception system requirements and experience in warehouse automation, industrial robotics, or logistics environments are preferred.

- Base pay ranges from $164K/year to $282K/year, with annual bonus eligibility of 0–20% of base salary.
