Base Salary

$150k - $250k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Architect software for an advanced production-scale metal 3D-printing system.
  • Design and develop the machine instruction interface for metal 3D-printing hardware.
  • Develop software for computer vision, sensor monitoring, calibration, quality-data logging, and system health tracking.
  • Integrate control algorithms into production software in collaboration with process and control engineers.
  • Develop high-speed data acquisition software with FPGA developers.
  • Create software for process-data collection and analysis and production automation.
  • Develop, unit test, and deploy scalable, robust, and maintainable software.
  • Generate and maintain documentation for designed software and integrated systems.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of software development experience using C/C++ and/or Rust.
  • Experience designing real-time embedded systems with Linux OS.
  • Experience with object-oriented programming and design.
  • Preferred: bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD in computer science, applied mathematics, engineering, or a related field.
  • Preferred: experience with high-performance computing environments, including FPGAs or GPUs.
  • Preferred: experience with PCIe driver development and troubleshooting.
  • Preferred: experience with high-speed data acquisition and real-time closed-loop control systems.
  • Preferred: knowledge of OS coding techniques, IP protocols, interfaces, and hardware subsystems.
  • Preferred: experience developing software for industrial automation systems, robotics, or related hardware.
  • Strong creative problem-solving, verbal communication, and written communication skills.
