Base Salary

$160k - $240k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Implement guidance and navigation software within commercial off-the-shelf software frameworks
  • Lead guidance software design for a clean-sheet airframe
  • Support airframe design activities
  • Integrate software with flight hardware
  • Develop and integrate real-time embedded flight software and hardware interfaces

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field
  • At least 10 years of professional object-oriented software development experience
  • Experience implementing guidance algorithms for UAS platforms using commercial autopilot frameworks such as ArduPilot
  • Practical understanding of fixed-wing and rotary-wing flight dynamics
  • Extensive software development experience on STM32 or similar microcontrollers and Linux hosted on Nvidia Jetson, AMD/Xilinx SoC, or Microblaze architectures
  • Experience developing real-time embedded software with hardware interfaces
  • Experience integrating vendor-provided low-level drivers and firmware
  • U.S. Person status is required to access U.S.-only data systems
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and collaborate on small teams
  • Preferred: current or previous DoD security clearance, Part 107 remote pilot certification, EO/IR or radar sensor integration experience, VHDL and AMD/Xilinx FPGA development experience, Git experience, production-level software development and deployment experience, and high-TRL system lifecycle, integration, testing, and verification experience
