Base Salary
$93k - $210k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain cloud-native services and microservices.
- Build highly available, scalable, and fault-tolerant distributed systems.
- Own service components and drive features from design through deployment.
- Troubleshoot production issues, participate in incident response and postmortems, and join on-call rotations.
- Analyze system performance and improve scalability, reliability, monitoring, alerting, and service availability.
- Participate in software design reviews, code reviews, technical discussions, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Write clean, maintainable, well-tested, production-ready code.
- Build automation, improve engineering practices and tooling, and reduce operational toil.
- Mentor interns and junior engineers on day-to-day engineering practices.
Requirements
- Strong programming skills in Java, Go, C++, Python, or a similar language.
- Understanding of distributed systems, concurrency, multithreading, asynchronous programming, cloud computing, and service-oriented architectures.
- Experience developing REST APIs and microservices.
- Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and modern development practices.
- Understanding of system security, authentication protocols, and compliance frameworks such as FedRAMP and PCI DSS.
- Ability to independently deliver medium-sized features, own production services, make technical decisions with limited supervision, and resolve production issues efficiently.
- Preferred: experience with Identity and Access Management systems and operating production cloud services.
- Preferred: familiarity with OCI, AWS, Azure, or GCP and observability tools for metrics, logging, and tracing.
