Responsibilities
- Lead technical engagements with high-priority customers and accelerate their container and AI journeys.
- Gather customer technical and business goals and create engagement plans across existing and new Docker offerings.
- Oversee rapid-prototyping design-partner engagements with Docker engineering and customer teams.
- Create and deliver custom demos, content, enablement, and best practices for audiences ranging from developers to C-level stakeholders.
- Act as a technical thought leader for an assigned field area and coordinate feedback across customer, pre-sales, and post-sales teams.
- Prioritize and contextualize field requests with the Field CTO and Solutions Architects for product and engineering teams.
- Partner with product and engineering teams on workflows and feature alignment based on customer use cases and revenue impact.
- Serve as customer zero for new Docker functionality and contribute to internal and customer technical enablement.
- Support Account Executives, post-sales, product, sales enablement, and customer success teams.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, or Solution Architect in complex enterprise environments.
- Experience managing customer relationships at both technical and business levels.
- Experience presenting solutions and demonstrations to small and large audiences, virtually and in person.
- Experience interfacing with technical support, product, and engineering teams to improve documentation, enablement, product features, and customer experience.
- Experience developing application code and understanding developers’ day-to-day challenges.
- Ability to solve technical problems and translate customer experience into actionable engineering feedback.
- Experience developing customer collateral and best-practice adoption content.
- Solid understanding of AWS, Azure, GCP, containers, DevOps, and modern application architectures.
- Docker, container ecosystem, or adjacent technology experience is strongly preferred.
- Development, agentic AI development, software development lifecycle, and/or software supply chain security experience is strongly preferred.
- Fluency in English is required.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% domestically and internationally.
- Docker does not offer visa sponsorship for this role.
