Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality modern C++ software for semiconductor CAD applications.
- Translate business and system requirements into software architecture, detailed designs, and implementation plans.
- Develop and optimize algorithms for layout data processing, geometry operations, and large hierarchical design databases.
- Own software features across design, implementation, unit testing, integration testing, deployment, and post-release support.
- Troubleshoot complex defects and performance bottlenecks through root-cause analysis, debugging, profiling, and optimization.
- Define and execute software verification, validation, test plans, and automated regression testing for CAD workflows.
- Participate in code reviews, design reviews, and architectural discussions.
- Lead small to medium-sized technical projects and drive deliverables to completion.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on software design and development practices.
- Collaborate with product management, QA, customer support, and internal and external customers.
- Identify opportunities for productivity improvements and software modernization.
Requirements
- 8–15 years of software development experience with strong proficiency in modern C++.
- Strong knowledge of object-oriented design, design patterns, STL, templates, smart pointers, memory management, data structures, algorithms, and computational geometry.
- Proven experience developing multithreaded and concurrent applications.
- Understanding of software architecture, system integration, and performance-critical, memory-efficient application development.
- Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems and source control systems such as Git.
- Strong debugging, profiling, and performance optimization skills.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Preferred experience with microservices architecture, gRPC, REST APIs, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, and large-scale data processing systems.
- Strong analytical, communication, leadership, mentoring, collaboration, ownership, and problem-solving skills.
