Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end delivery of large-scale distributed Java applications from analysis and design through coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- Design and develop scalable post-trade asset-servicing solutions covering corporate actions, income processing, tax services, custody support, and regulatory reporting.
- Provide hands-on technical leadership using object-oriented design principles and design patterns.
- Partner with business users and technologists to understand requirements, integrate shared frameworks, and deliver solutions.
- Drive cloud-migration initiatives and improve application resilience, performance, controls, and operational efficiency.
- Lead delivery in a global Agile team, mentor engineers, communicate technical decisions, and take accountability for quality and outcomes.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of professional experience developing Java applications, including ownership of large-scale distributed systems.
- Excellent working knowledge of Java, Spring, Angular, relational databases, messaging technologies, and RESTful services.
- Strong object-oriented analysis, design, and programming skills with practical experience applying design patterns.
- Experience across the full software-development lifecycle, including analysis, design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- Experience with iterative and Agile development practices in a global delivery environment.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills with direct interaction across business and technology teams.
- Experience contributing to or leading cloud-migration initiatives.
- Familiarity with containerized applications and Kubernetes is desirable.
