Base Salary
$187k - $234k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define and drive the technical roadmap for platform reliability, scalability, and performance.
- Architect, build, and evolve core services for Pantheon’s hosting platform.
- Partner with product, security, and infrastructure teams to identify root causes and design solutions.
- Balance immediate business needs with long-term architectural health.
- Provide technical leadership across the engineering organization.
- Mentor and coach engineers at all levels.
- Contribute to a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software development experience with a focus on platform or infrastructure products.
- 5+ years of experience designing and architecting large-scale distributed systems.
- Proficiency with container orchestration and web server technologies.
- Demonstrated ability to improve a production platform serving millions of users.
- Proficiency in Go, Python, or equivalent systems-oriented languages.
- Deep expertise in distributed systems design and cloud-native infrastructure.
- Experience with CDN, edge delivery, or networking-layer systems at scale.
- Strong understanding of multi-tenant hosting platforms.
- Experience operating database systems as managed services.
- Fluency with AI coding assistants and integrating AI tools into workflows.
