Responsibilities
- Lead the design and evolution of global media processing and delivery infrastructure for low-latency, high-availability video and audio experiences.
- Build and optimize resilient backend services for video and audio ingestion, distributed transcoding, and CDN routing.
- Partner with ML and AI teams on roadmaps for media recommendation, intelligent content moderation, and generative AI inference.
- Establish engineering best practices, design next-generation media services, and define SLOs and SLAs for media operations.
- Mentor and guide multiple engineering teams while translating product requirements into technical roadmaps and driving organizational alignment.
- Use AI-assisted development tools for prototyping, system design, and coding while validating and owning final outputs.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Proven track record as a Technical Lead or Staff Engineer.
- Expertise designing and operating large-scale distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and microservices.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence technical direction without directly managing engineers.
- Ability to lead large, cross-functional engineering initiatives and balance technical excellence with business impact.
