Responsibilities
- Partner with senior architects and technology teams to define and execute business-aligned IT strategy and vision.
- Develop technology and integration roadmaps, architectural standards, reusable solution patterns, and reference architectures.
- Define integration architecture for APIs, events, messaging, batch/file exchange, streaming, ETL/ELT, SaaS, and partner integrations.
- Design and modernize complex systems into cloud-compatible or cloud-native applications, including legacy migration strategies.
- Lead solution design for secure, scalable, reusable integration services that reduce point-to-point complexity.
- Evaluate applications and technical options, build business cases, explain trade-offs, and influence strategic direction.
- Provide architectural guidance, coaching, development leadership, and implementation assistance to full-stack development teams.
- Create solution architecture documents, integration diagrams, interface specifications, API and event contracts, and architecture decision records.
- Recommend scalable and performant architecture changes while controlling costs and responding to evolving security conditions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of experience architecting enterprise solutions, data integration, and emerging technologies.
- Strong experience with enterprise integration patterns, API-led integration, event-driven architecture, messaging, file/batch exchange, streaming, and data integration.
- Strong development skills, including writing complex code and tuning applications.
- Experience with Java, Pro-C, Python, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- Experience with messaging and event platforms such as Kafka, Solace, RabbitMQ, IBM MQ, Azure Service Bus, AWS SNS/SQS, or Google Pub/Sub.
- Ability to communicate technical designs, risks, options, and trade-offs to executives, engineers, business stakeholders, clients, and vendors.
- Experience producing architecture documentation, integration diagrams, interface specifications, API and event contracts, and architecture decision records.
- Basic understanding of data science principles and data needs.
- Financial services industry experience.
- Awareness of CI/CD, automated testing, containerized applications, and secure agile delivery practices.
- Demonstrated leadership, stakeholder management, negotiation, critical thinking, collaboration, business understanding, adaptability, and continuous learning.
