Responsibilities
- Participate in planning, design, implementation, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance across the full software development lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain scalable, distributed, event-driven microservices using Java.
- Optimize backend services for performance within high-throughput messaging systems.
- Implement and enhance APIs, messaging pipelines, and data models.
- Work with non-relational databases and ensure effective data handling.
- Collaborate with frontend engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to deliver quality features.
- Contribute to code reviews, technical discussions, architectural decisions, and continuous learning.
- Take ownership of delivered code while following practices for scalability, security, observability, and maintainability.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of backend development experience with strong proficiency in Java.
- Solid understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems.
- Experience with non-relational databases, event-driven architectures, and message queue systems such as Kafka.
- Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs.
- Experience using AI coding tools such as Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, or similar, including understanding their benefits, risks, and best practices.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and testable code and contribute to architectural decisions.
- Comfort working in a collaborative, autonomous, fast-paced team environment.
- Good written and spoken English communication skills.
- Nice to have experience with SaaS or cloud-native platforms and JavaScript, TypeScript, and React.
