Responsibilities
- Create, design, develop, test, and monitor code in production autonomously and reliably.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to implement pragmatic end-to-end solutions.
- Design and execute secure, scalable, available, and high-performing systems.
- Understand business and user needs to provide relevant solutions.
- Mentor teammates and promote technical growth within the team.
- Evaluate new technologies and architectures and apply sound technical judgment.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of backend development experience.
- Experience with TypeScript and Node.js, Python, Ruby, Rails, or other backend languages.
- Extensive production experience with AWS, preferably supporting high-volume or highly available services.
- Ability to design, deploy, and optimize systems in AWS environments.
- Frontend application experience, preferably with React, is a plus.
- Ability to design simple, pragmatic architectures at scale.
- Commitment to code simplicity, quality, performance, and maintainability.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
