Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, monitor, and operate business-critical software features autonomously and reliably.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to implement pragmatic end-to-end solutions.
- Design and execute secure, scalable, high-quality architectures for real-world problems.
- Improve operational excellence through metrics, observability, engineering best practices, and delivery processes.
- Mentor engineers and promote technical growth within teams and across Engineering.
- Stay current with technologies and architectures and evaluate their practical applications.
- Build resilient services on AWS that integrate with customers’ business-critical tools.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of backend development experience.
- Experience using TypeScript and Node.js, Python, Ruby, Rails, or other backend languages.
- Extensive production experience with AWS, preferably supporting high-volume or high-availability services.
- Ability to design, deploy, and optimize scalable, secure, available, and performant systems.
- Ability to design pragmatic and simple architectures for problems at scale.
- Frontend application experience, preferably with React, is a plus.
- Strong focus on code simplicity, quality, performance, and maintainability.
- Effective proactive communication and collaboration skills across different roles and profiles.
- Willingness to learn and adapt quickly across the company’s technical stack.
