Responsibilities

Design and build scalable, secure backend services for high-volume workloads.
Maintain GitLab CI pipelines, release workflows, automated testing, and continuous delivery practices.
Debug and optimize desktop memory usage and CPU performance to maintain high audio quality during calls.
Operate, monitor, and optimize distributed systems in AWS production environments.
Lead reliability, resilience, and performance improvements from system design through production operation.
Apply RTC/VoIP architecture and protocol knowledge to voice and messaging infrastructure.
Participate in an on-call rotation for critical system issues.

Solid experience building backend services with a focus on security, scalability, availability, and performance.
Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, automated testing, and deployment practices.
Hands-on experience with GitLab CI/CD or similar tools, release workflows, code reviews, and production continuous delivery.
Proficiency with containerized environments including Docker and Kubernetes.
Experience operating and optimizing high-volume, high-availability systems in AWS production environments.
Ability to troubleshoot, monitor, and improve distributed production systems.
Understanding of RTC/VoIP architectures and protocols, including SIP and RTP.
Familiarity with open-source SIP/RTC technologies such as FreeSWITCH, Kamailio, or Asterisk.
Exposure to media servers, signaling flows, or real-time communications debugging.
Familiarity with modern development practices and AI-assisted development tools.
Fluency in written and spoken English, strong communication skills, autonomy, initiative, and end-to-end ownership.
