Responsibilities
- Build and own an observability platform that ingests customer events, logs, and traces using OpenTelemetry and industry best practices.
- Deliver dashboarding and visualization capabilities for Support and Field teams to monitor system health, issues, and trends.
- Design and implement telemetry-driven notification and alerting systems using heuristics, AI agents, and lakehouse intelligence.
- Write infrastructure-as-code with Helm and Terraform to simplify deployment and operations.
- Build and maintain application frameworks addressing dependency injection and role-based access control at scale.
- Partner with SRE and DevOps teams to define best practices and standardized engineering workflows.
- Engage with the developer community to identify pain points and translate them into platform improvements.
- Help define and deliver SAP HANA/BDC integration roadmap milestones.
Requirements
- Bachelor's, Master's, or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
- At least 5 years of software engineering experience.
- At least 2 years of experience using Java.
- At least 2 years of hands-on infrastructure-as-code experience with Helm, Terraform, or equivalent.
- Deep experience with a major cloud platform such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Hands-on experience with OpenTelemetry or comparable observability platforms.
- Experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, and HTTP networking fundamentals.
- Bonus experience includes SaaS microservices, distributed systems, multithreaded or asynchronous programming, NoSQL databases, Redis, Jenkins, ArgoCD, C++, Go, Python, Node.js, Rust, query processing, concurrency control, data replication, storage systems, Java GC/heap tuning, Apache Arrow, SQL operators, or data-path optimization.
- Strong problem-solving ability and willingness to learn new technologies.
