Senior Backend Engineer

Responsibilities
- Design and build backend services that ingest and process hundreds of thousands of agent traces per second.
- Own the API surface used by SDKs and dashboards, including contracts, versioning, and latency.
- Optimize ClickHouse schemas, queries, and access patterns for petabyte-scale data.
- Partner with platform and infrastructure teams on scalability, reliability, evaluation pipelines, and monitoring systems.
- Promote reliable, efficient, documented, testable, and maintainable backend engineering practices.
Requirements
- 6+ years of relevant industry experience building and operating high-throughput backend systems and services.
- Strong fundamentals in API design, data modeling, and distributed-systems trade-offs under production load.
- Hands-on experience with OLAP or columnar databases such as ClickHouse and Presto.
- Experience designing high-performance distributed systems.
- Ability to reason across platform and infrastructure decisions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
