Responsibilities
- Develop and implement new or revised application systems and programs using Java and Python.
- Participate in feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, IT planning, risk technology, application development, and model development.
- Monitor and control analysis, design, construction, testing, implementation, and operational support activities.
- Analyze complex application and business-process issues and recommend advanced programming solutions.
- Design and implement security measures during post-implementation analysis to support system functionality.
- Consult with users, clients, and technology groups and provide user and operational support.
- Define operating standards and processes and ensure required procedures are followed.
- Advise or coach new and lower-level analysts while acting as a subject matter expert for stakeholders and team members.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of relevant experience in systems analysis and software application programming.
- Bachelor’s or university degree, or equivalent experience.
- Experience managing and implementing successful projects.
- Working knowledge of consulting and project management techniques and methods.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or changing requirements.
- Programming experience with concurrent, parallel, and distributed systems.
- Advanced knowledge of Java and Python.
- Advanced experience with HTTP, RESTful web services, and API design.
- Experience with Kafka, Reactive Streams, AWS S3, and GCP BigQuery.
- Working knowledge of a scripting language such as Groovy, Python, or JavaScript.
- Experience with Kubernetes and a good understanding of the Linux operating system.
- Experience with Gradle and Kotlin is beneficial.
