Responsibilities
- Design and develop Java/J2EE software modules and Connected Car product features.
- Lead backend, frontend, vendor, and other technical personnel in developing, maintaining, and supporting web applications.
- Translate stakeholder requirements into designs and high-quality deliverables while estimating effort and implementation sequence.
- Provide technical direction on system design, development, issue resolution, architecture, and development schedules.
- Develop high-volume web services and cloud-based distributed or service-oriented applications.
- Establish development environments and guidelines for coding, code reviews, builds, testing, and operations.
- Prepare detailed specifications, design documents, test plans, and support functional and non-functional testing.
- Support deployment, performance engineering, test automation, vendor coordination, and production issue triage.
- Research technologies and recommend technical and architectural improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science, or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of overall experience in development, design, and architecture using Java, J2EE, Spring Framework, and database technologies.
- 10+ years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
- At least 5 years of Java and J2EE experience, including 3+ years with Java 11 or above and Spring 5, plus 2+ years of Reactive and Angular programming exposure.
- At least 5 years as a Technical Lead in a large enterprise environment, preferably supporting telematics or Connected Car IT systems.
- At least 5 years building distributed, service-oriented, microservice-style, and cloud-based application architectures.
- At least 5 years of experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS, Lambda, Kinesis, GCP, and Apigee.
- Experience with Spring, iBATIS, web services, design patterns, SOAP, MVC, JSP, and Servlets.
- Experience deploying applications on JBoss, WebLogic, and Tomcat.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle, SQL Server, and MySQL, including complex queries and SQL analysis and tuning.
- Experience in Unix and Linux environments, complex multi-vendor projects, and subscription-based, usage-based, and one-time billing systems.
- Preferred experience includes Apache Camel, Mule ESB, ActiveMQ, Hadoop, Spark, HBase, NoSQL, Connected Car or IoT systems, predictive models, large datasets, AI solutions, SaaS billing and subscription platforms, and cloud certifications.
