Base Salary
$155k - $190k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own and continuously improve Chromatic’s security posture across access controls, secrets management, vulnerability triage, and audit logging.
- Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable AWS infrastructure using Terraform for millions of browser sessions daily.
- Partner with product and engineering teams to assess infrastructure needs, conduct security reviews, and build security into developer tooling and CI/CD workflows.
- Participate in the on-call rotation and own incident mitigation through resolution.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on experience deploying and operating containerized applications in AWS.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience using infrastructure-as-code technologies, particularly Terraform.
- Intermediate knowledge of networking fundamentals, including firewalls, load balancers, DNS, VPC architecture and peering, and zero-trust network access with Tailscale.
- Intermediate knowledge of cloud security standards and practices, including least-privilege IAM, secrets management, API authentication and abuse prevention, audit logging, network segmentation, and vulnerability triage.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD using CircleCI and GitHub Actions, containerization with Docker, and orchestration tools.
- Working knowledge of compliance frameworks such as SOC2 and GDPR is preferred.
- Intermediate knowledge and experience with MongoDB and/or relational database systems such as PostgreSQL and MySQL is preferred.
- Experience working effectively in a distributed, remote-first team environment is preferred.
