Base Salary
$160k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead AI projects from ideation and architecture through production, iteration, and adoption.
- Develop and deploy real-time speech and natural-language systems for transcription, summarization, classification, and conversational workflows.
- Build reliable model and prompt pipelines for LLM-powered workflows with monitoring and quality standards.
- Benchmark and improve AI accuracy, cost, latency, streaming performance, and stability.
- Partner with Product and Engineering to identify AI opportunities and deliver measurable outcomes.
- Help shape the AI roadmap across speech, NLP, and automation workflows.
- Apply AI to clinical documentation, customer support, billing, and internal operations.
- Develop expertise in Prompt’s product, customers, and the rehab therapy sector.
- Help train and develop junior AI team members while remaining a heavy code contributor.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience building AI/ML systems in industry or academia with meaningful production ownership.
- Strong experience building and evaluating NLP and/or LLM systems, including retrieval, summarization, classification, extraction, or agent workflows.
- Production or near-real-time experience with speech pipelines such as speech-to-text, spoken-intent classification, or conversational AI.
- A track record of improving accuracy, cost, and latency through benchmarking and iteration.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills, including the ability to explain AI concepts to nontechnical stakeholders.
- Proficiency with Python greater than version 3.9.
- Basic Docker experience.
- AWS familiarity, including S3, RDS, and EC2, is preferred.
- Interest in learning the healthcare sector, especially physical, occupational, and speech therapy.
- Preferred experience with real-time speech processing, STT and TTS engines, IVR applications, CPaaS platforms such as Twilio, ML/LLM evaluation pipelines, recommendation or automation systems, workflow orchestration, FastAPI, Pydantic, SQLAlchemy, PostgreSQL, CI/CD, observability tooling, healthcare software, or data-processing pipelines.
