Responsibilities
- Lead high-level and low-level architecture and design for bare-metal and VM-based Kubernetes and KVM/OpenStack platforms in 5G Core and edge environments.
- Create parameter definitions, test plans, configuration manifests, detailed design documents, runbooks, and test verification procedures.
- Apply CNDP, DPDK, SR-IOV, and eBPF for benchmarking, kernel tuning, packet-processing optimization, and carrier-grade performance.
- Architect, integrate, and troubleshoot container networking using Multus CNI, Calico, SR-IOV CNI, and high-performance routing protocols.
- Own PDI delivery activities including staging validation, on-site deployment, cutover execution, and real-time risk mitigation.
- Collaborate with global architecture and engineering teams to resolve product roadblocks and develop reusable templates and design collateral.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience designing, deploying, and operating Kubernetes/Docker container platforms or KVM/OpenStack virtualization environments.
- Deep knowledge of Linux OS internals, RHEL or Ubuntu, kernel parameter tuning, system administration, and container network troubleshooting.
- Practical knowledge or implementation experience with CNDP, DPDK, SR-IOV, eBPF, or other fast packet-processing technologies.
- Proven end-to-end Plan, Design, Implement delivery capability, including detailed design, runbook, and test documentation.
- Native or business-level Japanese fluency and professional working proficiency in English.
- Preferred experience with 5G Core components such as UPF and SMF, vEPC, or Telco CNFs.
- Preferred certifications include CKA, CKAD, RHCA, or RHCE.
- Preferred automation and IaC experience with Python, Bash, Ansible, Terraform, or GitOps frameworks.
- Preferred familiarity with GitLab, Jenkins, CI/CD delivery pipelines, containerized deployment workflows, and Cisco UCS, Nexus, and Telco Cloud solutions.
