Responsibilities
- Redesign the MES custom-layer architecture to support high-scale factory operations.
- Drive technical improvements across quality management, automation, and deep integrations.
- Establish and enforce technical standards across the MES footprint, including accounting and purchasing systems.
- Translate open-source ERP manufacturing capabilities into a scalable, industrial-grade MES.
- Build modules and integrations, conduct code reviews, and develop a production-ready MES version 2.
- Audit existing systems and deliver a comprehensive MES roadmap within the first 90 days.
- Mentor junior engineers and serve as the technical reference for operational tooling.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Procurement, and executive stakeholders to define technical specifications.
Requirements
- 4–7+ years of software engineering experience at a fast-paced, tech-forward company.
- Strong architectural instincts and proficiency in Python.
- Proven experience shipping non-trivial systems to production at scale.
- A degree from a top-tier engineering school in Software Engineering.
- Exposure to MES or manufacturing systems is a plus.
- Fluency in written and verbal English and French.
- Ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders, from junior employees to senior executives.
